I built the assemblies I estimate.

Thirty-two years building residential and commercial work, with union time at both ends of it — Carpenters Local 1305 on retail and pharmacy construction early, Local 723 on Boston medical and institutional work later. Eleven of those years were spent pricing the work as well as installing it: estimates, proposals and contracts for seven years at a New Hampshire builder, then every job quoted for four more running my own carpentry business.

There isn't much in a house I haven't installed. Framing, siding, windows and doors, stairs, cabinets, built-ins and finish — the assemblies a custom-home estimator prices daily.
